Have a more ambitious project in mind? Hope to do Tufting at home as long-term hobby
Here is for you to know more about the BTS of Tufting before committing.
​What to expect:
- Learn the whole process of Tufting over 4 weekly 2-hour sessions from preps to finish.
- Explore various Tufting techniques: Cut Pile, Loop Pile, Length & Colour Variations.

​Who can join: All skill levels | 18 years old+
November Time Slots: Wed, Thur, Fri
Price: $480 per person | Online bookings required
HOW DOES IT WORK
In the first week, you’ll be introduced to the STEP by STEP basics and different techniques of Tufting.
​
1. The essentials you'll need for Tufting and how to set up you Tufting workplace
2. Operation guide of AK-DUO & Manual Tufting Machine
3. Demonstration and practice on a 40x40cm canvas with a combo of Cut Pile, Loop Pile & Long Pile presence.
4. Experiment on mixing different yarns to achieve colour variations and transactions.
It aims to help you get familiar with steps and build up your confidence of handling Tufting Machine.
In Week 2 & 3, you’ll be working on your own project with supervising and help of troubleshooting.

1. You can choose to work on one ambitious piece (up to 70x70cm) over these two weeks.
2. Or you can work on a series of several smaller pieces.
​​
It's time to get creative! It can be a statement artwork, or a tufting makeover for your old furnitures, a layered landscape floor rug, a delicate portrait for your loved ones.
In the final week, you will learn to finish your Tufting works with Backing & Trimmings.
​
1. Demonstration on various Backing methods for uses of different purposes.
2. Operation guide of Electric Trimmers to tidy up or to achieve lower layers.
3. Use Duck-bill Scissors to carve around edges and details.
4. After care introduction for your tufting works.

By the end of this term, you’ll walk away with a Tufting work that it's uniquely and proudly made by yourself and an appreciation of this tactile creation journey:)

Q: What it your maximum capacity for a group?
A: We can accommodate maximum 4 people for Term Classes.
​
​Q: How many works am I able to make in a term?
A: There is no limits on quantity while the biggest you can make is up to 70x70cm.
​​
Q: Who can't join this class?
A: Attendees must be over 18 years old for safety consideration. Our tufting machine is around 1.5kg, and there will be fluffs created in the space during the session. If you have any relative allergies or physical difficulties, please consider carefully or get in touch with us before you book.
​
Q: Do I pay upfront or after the term?
A: Full payments are required to be made when you book for term classes. ​
​
Q: What's your reschedule & cancellation policy for term classes?
A: Please noted that we do not accept cancellations for parts or the whole term unless for a medical reason or extenuating circumstances. If there's any slots available we can reschedule or substitute part of the classes. No refunds will be provided.
